Frequently Asked Questions

What types of books do you publish?

Fiction, Non-fiction, Autobiographical, and Children's books.

What types of editing do you offer, and how do they differ?

COPY EDITING:

Copy editing focuses on the technical aspects of writing, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and adherence to grammatical rules and style guidelines. It involves correcting grammar, punctuation, spelling errors, and typos. In a more technical sense, copy editors check for clarity and coherence, ensuring that the text is clear, concise, and error-free. The primary goal of copy editing is to make the manuscript correct in terms of grammar, punctuation, and style.

LINE EDITING:

Line editing primarily deals with the creative content, style, and clarity of writing. It involves improving the flow of the text, ensuring consistency in tone and style, and refining the language to enhance readability, delivery, and engagement. Line editors often restructure sentences or paragraphs for better coherence and suggest changes to improve pacing and rhythm. The main goal of line editing is to polish the manuscript at a deeper level than basic grammar and punctuation, elevating the quality of the writing itself.

DEVELOPMENTAL EDITING:

Developmental editing is ideal for fiction books. It focuses on the big-picture elements of the manuscript and involves evaluating the overall structure, content, and flow of the work. This type of editing is more about content and structure than language and grammar.

How long will the editing process take?

The timeline varies depending on the type of editing, the manuscript's length, and its initial quality. From the time of the manuscript’s submission, you can expect a turnaround time of 1-3 weeks.

What are your rates for editing services?

We also calculate the cost based on the initial word count of the manuscript’s submission. Rates can vary based on the type of editing desired.

What is your editing process?

You are the author. We are the editor and publisher. You have full control. We only have suggestions. This book is your voice, not ours. So, we will edit the book with that in mind. Unless it is not what you want, the words written in this book should sound like they came out of your brain.

What marketing and distribution support do you provide?

We showcase the authors' books on our website. However, we do not maintain inventory. Instead, we provide a link directing visitors to the author’s website or the book's page on platforms like Amazon or any other preferred outlet chosen by the author for sales. The authors are responsible for the sale and distribution of their books. We also will promote your book on our social media platforms.

What happens if I disagree with an editorial suggestion?

You are the author, and we are the editor and publisher. You have full control. We only have suggestions. The final decision on the manuscript and book cover design is yours to make. This book is your voice, not ours, so we will edit it with that in mind.
